The Xinyida Steel Pipe Group has produced Φ2300×25 mm spiral steel pipes (nested with Φ2100×25 mm pipes) for use as pile pipes in a bridge project in Africa, which is being undertaken under the Belt and Road Initiative. These pipes have successfully passed quality inspection.
Given the tight schedule and heavy workload, the group's leadership has made overall plans and mobilized all staff to go all out to ensure quality while racing against time. Strict control has been exercised over various technical indicators, including pipe straightness, ovality, end bevel, end cut obliquity, as well as internal and external weld quality. Following a shipping plan averaging 15 truckloads per day, the operations—production, transfer, nesting, bracing, loading, and dispatching—were carried out simultaneously. By October 27, the first shipment of 60 sets (120 pipes) had been dispatched to Africa, and the remaining contract work is proceeding at full speed.
